Senior Heather Storeide, scored Jefferson’s sole nomination from the National Capital Area’s Critics and Awards Program for High School Theatre and Journalism, known as Cappies.  She received this acknowledgment for her performance in “Stage Door.”

“I was totally shocked when I found out and ecstatic because it’s such a huge honor. I believe everyone in our show deserved one, but I’m honored to have gotten one,” Storeide said.

There is a formal Cappies Gala at the end of the year for the presentation of awards to the nominees. The Gala will be held at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall on June 10 at 7 p.m.
