Here’s some more information regarding some of this morning’s announcements:
JUNIORS: Are you applying to the Mentorship program for senior year research? If so, you MUST attend one of the MANDATORY information sessions to be held this Wednesday, November 15th in the cafeteria. Sign up for either the 8A or 8B session to meet with Mr. Lampazzi, Mentorship Program Director.
TJ LIFT is an outreach program that prepares economically disadvantaged middle schoolers for the TJ admissions exam. They are looking for new mentors to assist 7th graders starting this winter through next fall. If you are a freshman, sophomore, or junior interested in becoming a mentor for these students, contact them by November 21st to receive information about what’s next! You can reach them through Mr. Wickliff in Room 48 or through [email protected].
Ever think about writing a novel? November is National Novel Writing Month, also known as NANO. If you would like more information, visit www.nanowrimo.org or participate in one of the NANO write-ins during 8th period with Mrs. Ketchem or during lunch with Mrs. Henry in the TJ Writing Center.
TJ Orchestra invites you to the annual Viennese Ball! Join them for a night of fabulous food and delightful dancing to music played by TJ’s symphonic orchestra and jazz band. Tickets are 20$ at the door. The dance starts at 7 o’clock this Friday, November 17th, and is consistently rated to be the best dance of the year.
