Jefferson journalism advisor awarded CSPA Advisor of the Year

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, Jefferson’s Journalism and Photojournalism teacher Erinn Harris won the Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s (CSPA) 2020 National High School Journalism Teacher of the Year award. The CSPA awards the title to one teacher a year out of a national pool, along with four other teachers named Distinguished Advisers and four other teachers named Special Recognition Advisers. As an adviser, Harris fights for free press at the high school level and emphasizes researching news. The award will be presented at Columbia’s 96th annual spring convention on March 18 to March 20.
