Virtual learning has dramatically impacted the way school is conducted. With students and teachers spending hours in front of their screens every day, they have had to adapt to an unfamiliar learning environment. These changes, coupled with harsh winter weather, have rendered online school both stressful and challenging, taking a toll on one’s mental health. Since FCPS already has snow days built into their calendar year, it would be beneficial to give everyone a much-needed break, with time away from our devices.
