Despite the limitations of virtual school, ten student artists have found new means to improve the look of TJ—by outfitting the bland walls of the lecture hall with an art mural. The mural seeks to embody school pride by encapsulating four themes of robotics, astronomy, jungle, and ocean. The painters hope to unveil the finalized design in March of 2021 by encompassing some common interests among students. Yet with the ongoing pandemic and varying styles, these artists have had to surmount challenges like social distancing and painting in the cold to ensure that the mural is finished on time.
