From music to novels to plays, language surrounds us in our daily lives. Linguistics, the study of language, is a deep and complex field. One subgroup of linguistics, Computational Linguistics, is tested by the North American Computational Linguistics Open Competition, or NACLO for short. Several members of TJ’s Linguistics Club participated this year. We talked to them about their experience with NACLO and the expansive field of linguistics.
