During the pep rally on Friday, Sept. 22, junior June Anderson turns towards the junior class as she performs a sequence based on a scene from “Barbie” (2023). “We wanted to connect ‘Oppenheimer’ (2023) to the part in that dance where Barbie has her thoughts about death,” Anderson said. “She's like, ‘Here's everything about death,’ and then we were gonna drop a bomb on everyone. They were all gonna fall back and then confetti was gonna go up and everyone was gonna start dancing to Nicki Minaj.”
