On May 21, seniors donned college attire for the unofficial “College T-shirt Day” spirit day. Seniors all around the school could be seen in brightly colored t-shirts and other clothing proclaiming their college destination. Some students that did not have official merchandise from their college became creative, wearing their own clothes in school colors and even spraypainting their shirts with college names.
The event was organized by senior Minh Bui, who is the Class of 2013 class president. Bui knew of the tradition from previous years and created a Facebook event in order to inform seniors of the date.
“College T-shirt Day has been a tradition ever since I have been at TJ,” Bui said. “I just picked a date and invited all of the seniors to join.”
