Audrey Li, a sophomore at TJ, is in her second year on the tjTODAY staff and also occasionally contributes to the yearbook. She loves journalism for the opportunities it gives her to explore TJ and connect with students, whether through interviews or photographing events. Outside of journalism, Audrey enjoys dancing, swimming, baking and reading books. Her favorite weekend activities include catching up on sleep and spending quality time with family and friends.

Responding to the fire alarm, firefighters arrived at Jefferson early Tuesday morning to inspect a mechanical issue that arose. The issue was minor and school resumed as usual after students waited outside for around 20 minutes. “It was our very first class of the year other than the syllabus. And it was quite surprising,” math teacher Miranda Callahan said.

Standing next to his poster, freshman Aarya Anaspure proudly waits to answer any questions about his group’s project. Jefferson is one of the only schools that offer a year-long research project in freshman year. “The IBEST project was one of the most unique and collaborative projects I worked on, and it taught me skills that I would use for many years to come. The project was challenging and communication was difficult at times, however, working together with friends strengthened our collaborative skills, and getting to output an actual result with our hard work felt good,” Anaspure said.
