The head of safety and security for the 12 years, Bob McCormick aims to defy the current misunderstanding of the student body in interpreting him and his role as a rigid and strict character. He goes on to share his story of sports injuries, past ambitions, and future hopes. "I’m completely open. I think my life experiences have been pretty interactive. It’s not enough to open and file, you need to talk to the person to find out why they are successful, if they are, or why might not be. It’s always good to have conversations with people that are struggling because it gives you insight as to how you can do your job better," McCormick said.

From the graduating class of 1991 to her 14 years as a Chemistry teacher, Ashley Jones marks her 18th year at TJ this year. In her role as a mentor in guiding students across academic challenges, Jones has formed her own philosophy that focuses on assisting others toward their goals.

"Success is linked to helping other people feel valued and empowered and like they're moving toward their goals. I think those were the reasons why teaching appealed to me," Jones said. "A lot of people in my life have done that for me, both family members and formers teachers. I don't think any one of us has reached the summit that we could reach at any given time; this is a continuous journey where you figure out what your weaknesses are and what your strength are and hop to build on that the strengths and manage the areas in which you are weak."

In looking back towards each responsibility and position, Ware shares his insight into personal growth and outlook.

“I always evaluate myself.” Ware said. “I don’t want to be in the same position as I was last year as far as knowledge, as far as my health, as far as my relationship with my family, and me as a person. I always take a look as myself and how I am as a human being and what I have to offer to someone. What I have to offer to society. I’m always trying to give back because I didn’t get to where I am without help from someone. I always want to give back.”
